We are an inclusive school and all children are welcome to join BSCD.
We welcome pupils of all faiths, cultures, races and family backgrounds. Applications for admission from all sections of society are admitted and is non-discriminatory in line with the Equality Act (2010) and the BSCD Equal Opportunities Policy.

Families interested in enrolling a child at BSCD, please complete and submit this form and have a look at the Admissions Process

All the requests made for an initial interview will be given to the Head of Admissions and an initial interview will be scheduled at both parts' earliest convenience. This initial interview includes the presentation of the school in both curricular and day to day running (policies, procedures, etc) and resolving any concerns or doubts from the families, SO PLEASE COME WITH YOUR QUESTIONS READY!!!

The school only accepts pupils from 16 weeks of age. INTERESTING! Class placement will be allocated according to the stage of development of each pupil by the school.

Children entering Nursery need to have turned 3 before the 1st of September.

Children entering Reception need to have turned 4 before the 1st of September.

KEY STAGE 1 Lower Primary: To be accepted in the primary stage pupils must have the suitable level of English. This will be determined during the first and second interview.

KEY STAGE 2 Upper Primary: Pupils entering Year 3 and above will need to undergo a speaking and writing assessment of English. These assessments will determine whether these prospective pupils will need the aforementioned support.

For place allocation in these year groups, the following assessments will be evaluated in addition to the Admissions Criteria (see above):

  • An assessment of the pupil's spoken and written level of English followed by an interview with the school's Head of Secondary.
  • An assessment of mathematical skills and knowledge.
